Using sailing as a platform to develop confident, resilient and capable young people

Prodigy Sailing Foundation is a registered Bermuda charity that develops confident, resilient and capable young people using sailing as a platform for personal growth.
We make sailing more accessible through affordable, community-based programmes that combine practical instruction, mentorship and life-skills development. Our aim is to give young people opportunities to discover sailing, continue learning and progress, while building a connection to Bermuda's maritime heritage.
Our approach is guided by the Prodigy Model. Participants learn to handle boats while practising patience, perseverance, problem solving, communication and responsibility. Coaches help them recognise how these skills apply beyond the water.
"Sailing is our platform. Progression is our purpose."
Community-based programmes designed to remove cost as a barrier, with financial assistance available for families where cost would otherwise prevent participation.
Experienced coaches guide participants through practical sailing challenges that become opportunities for personal development — on the water and beyond.
Every programme connects young Bermudians to the island's rich seafaring history, helping them see themselves as part of an evolving maritime story.

Every session is intentionally structured around three interconnected elements
Patience · Perseverance · Problem Solving
Communication · Responsibility · Judgment · Reflection · Self-Awareness
